ICONSIAM’s effort to redefine Thailand’s retail experience has been met with wonder and intrigue. One’s journey begins outside, where the external design has laid claim to having the longest pleated glass on earth. The glass itself was engineered in Germany for structural capabilities. In front of it, River Park offers an innovative light-and-sound dancing fountain with the newest technology. Inside, one can begin to explore many “worlds”: Thailand’s regions all reduced to the single village of SookSiam, Japan’s famous department store Takashimaya, luxury “streets” of ICONLUXE, and more. For movie goers, ICON CINECONIC will be the main attraction with its never seen before features.
Designed by world-renowned Diego Gronda who created venue masterpieces such as Kodak Theatre (where the Oscars have been held), ICON CINECONIC offers a renewed sense of awe for cinematic experiences. ICON CINECONIC consists of 13 screens: a VIP screen , a IMAX screen , a 4DX screen , a Kids Cinema, nine regular screens, and a living room screen. Altogether, they have 2,781 seats for film enthusiasts.
The concept of futuristic tradition was used to guide its design and build. All theaters are fitted with the newest cinematic technology along with artistic designs to enable attendees to be fully immersed in films. These features include:
- Smart Ticket Scan and Go: Customers can now bring the QR Code from Major Application or E-Ticket and scan through Smart Ticket at the front door.
- Laserplex: All screens are equipped with Laser Projectors, which shows films at more than three times the level of regular film sharpness.
- IMAX: The new IMAX projector supports High Frame Rate screening that increases smoothness of picture screening.
- 4DX: This technology promises newest effect fog storm equipped with Laser Projector and the latest JBL sound system.
- ICONIC Dine in Cinema: A new service that unlocks an entirely different experience where one enjoys not only the movie on the VIP Opera Chair, but also specially prepared foods and beverages from a famous restaurant served by a personal butler.
- Living Room Theatre: A living room space that recreates the experience of watching a movie in your own home and lets you host private parties with premium service from an exclusive lounge that can cater your favorite foods and beverages.
- Popcorn Bar: A bar that serves popcorn enjoy the variety of topping, including new Thai style flavors such as Satay and Crab Curry Sauce.
